Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 16, 2026
Effective Date: September 16, 2026
Welcome to the official website of The Justin Sun Prize (the "Prize") and participation in its related activities. These Terms of Use (these "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether as a visitor, submitter, or laureate, collectively, "User" or "you") and the operator/sponsor of The Justin Sun Prize.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Before visiting this website, submitting a Pull Request (PR) to the official GitHub organization (The Justin Sun Prize), participating in mathematical evaluations, or claiming any prize, please carefully read these Terms, the accompanying The Justin Sun Prize Evaluation Rules, and the Privacy Policy. By accessing this website or submitting any materials, you unconditionally read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Evaluation Rules.
2. Nature of the Prize and Application of Rules
(1) The Justin Sun Prize is a global philanthropic mathematical bounty and formal verification mechanism established through personal funding by Mr. Justin Sun and distributed by the Prize operator.
(2) The evaluation criteria, three-dimensional assessment metrics, pre-requisite for shortlisting (Lean formal verification), prize tiers, and allocation ratios among recipient entities shall be exclusively governed by the officially published The Justin Sun Prize Evaluation Rules.
(3) Q&As, redemption guidelines, and other explanatory notes published on this website serve solely for operational illustration. In the event of any conflict with the Evaluation Rules, the Evaluation Rules shall prevail.
3. User Conduct and Submission Specifications
(1) You warrant that all Lean formal proposition statements, proofs, and evidence packages submitted via the official GitHub repository are authentic, lawful, free from intellectual property defects, and do not infringe upon the legitimate rights of any third party.
(2) Any malicious submissions, repeated spamming, attacks on testing networks, or submission of PRs containing malicious code or placeholder axiom loopholes are strictly prohibited. The operator reserves the right to close, blacklist, or suspend any violating behaviors.
4. Compliance Screening and Prize Distribution
(1) Laureates must cooperate with the compliance identity verification (KYC/AML) designated by the Prize operator. If a designated receiving wallet address or related entity involves compliance risks, sanction lists, or violates applicable laws and regulations, the operator reserves the right to request an alternative wallet address, suspend, or cancel the prize distribution.
(2) The prize shall be distributed in the form of digital currency. Network gas fees and exchange/processing fees generated from on-chain transfers shall be borne by the recipient in accordance with the specific payment channel rules.
5. Intellectual Property and Gratuitous License
(1) The Prize does not claim ownership of the underlying intellectual property of the awarded mathematical achievements.
(2) However, the materials submitted for verification, alongside your name/team name and achievement abstracts, shall be deemed as automatically granting the operator a gratuitous, non-exclusive license to use such materials to the extent necessary for public display, promotion, and operation of the Prize.
6. Technical Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
(1) Given that formal verification technology, underlying theorem provers, independent checkers, and AI-assisted tools are continuously evolving, the operator shall conduct reviews and corrections in accordance with the law for any evaluation deviations, system misjudgments, data anomalies, or on-chain asset losses caused by undisclosed or unknown technical defects or vulnerabilities in third-party tools, underlying compilers, or systems, but shall not bear any civil liability exceeding the amount of the prize itself.
(2) The operator shall not be held responsible for unrecoverable assets resulting from blockchain network congestion, force majeure, or incorrect wallet addresses provided by the user.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
(1) The interpretation, validity, performance, and dispute resolution of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
(2) Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the evaluation, or prize distribution, if not settled through amicable negotiation, shall be submitted to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for arbitration in accordance with its prevailing arbitration rules. The arbitral award shall be final and binding upon both parties.
8. Language and Translation
These Terms may be translated into multiple languages for the convenience of users. In the event of any inconsistency, ambiguity, or conflict between any translated version and the English version, the English version shall prevail.
9. Modifications and Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time due to business adjustments, technological evolutions, or changes in applicable laws and regulations. Revised terms shall become effective immediately upon being posted on the official website. If you continue to access this website, submit GitHub PRs, or participate in related activities after the terms have been modified, you shall be deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the latest revised terms. You are advised to review these terms periodically for updates.
